Co-owners Margie Green Schloesser and Tom Green III
Tom was the chief designer and builder of The Jefferson and continues to lead ongoing facility maintenance & improvement projects. Margie oversees the venue staff and bar planning. Tom & Margie are siblings and own several businesses together besides The Jefferson including commercial real estate and a reclamation business (the source of many of the materials in The Jefferson). Tom also owns Mallard’s Croft, a 600 acre farm with 2 venues just south of Collierville, TN.
Amanda Victory, Venue Manager
Amanda Victory is our venue manager and no stranger to The Jefferson. Prior to moving into the manager position, she worked with us for two years in other capacities. Her love for the Oxford community grew during her time at Ole Miss and the years she spent here after. Amanda has been coordinating and managing events as long as she can remember. She is actively involved in charitable organizations and loves to travel as often as possible. When asked about her role, Amanda said, “I have loved watching people have events at The Jefferson. I am honored to get to play a small part of their dream celebration.” When not managing events, Amanda loves spending time with her friends and her canine companions, a British lab and a German short haired pointer.
Kate Milling , Team Leader
Kate Milling is a team leader working throughout the week to ensure that the venue is ready for our next event. This includes everything from bar setup to chasing behind the scenes venue details. Kate loves being in the hospitality business and has a long term career goal of becoming a wedding planner and coordinator. She has a passion for serving others and making sure every detail is perfect for your big day! She said, “It truly brings me such joy to be able to serve others on one of the best days of their lives!” Kate is from Texas where she graduated from Texas A&M (WHOOP!) and met her husband. Outside of work Kate and Hayden are actively involved with their church Pinelake, love hanging out with their sweet chocolate lab pup, and playing some serious games of pickle ball.
Kelly Bell, Team Leader
Kelly Bell is a venue team leader. Kelly grew up in a military family and enlisted in the Air Force after high school. While serving for 4 years, her favorite assignment was coordinating events for the Base Commander. Kelly moved to Oxford with her husband, Jeff, and their 3 children when Jeff retired from the Air Force. Kelly is an active volunteer in the Oxford community and loves meeting new people, a good hike outdoors, and a new book with a cup of coffee. When asked about her role Kelly stated, “I look forward to helping create memories and serving all those that pass through our doors.
Madison Roeske, Team Leader
Madison Roeske is currently a junior at Ole Miss majoring in hospitality management. On event days you may find her setting up our bar, giving a tour, helping prepare the venue for the event, and bartending (she’s 21). Madison has an interesting background: she’s a triplet from Houston, Texas, began bartending at 18 in Texas (yes, that’s legal there) and has wanted to be a wedding planner from an early age. While she loves her time at Ole Miss, she plans to return to Texas after graduation. Here’s how she describes herself and her work at The Jefferson: “ I absolutely love spending my time at The Jefferson, and feel extremely rewarded for being a small part of what makes our events magical! Apart from that I am a dog mom to 3, Coco Chanel, Luna and Shilo and play the piano whenever I have the time. The first time I saw the movie “The Wedding Planner” I knew that that was the career for me!”
